Walking the Wretched Path

Wanting to know, I tried to grow,

All efforts in vain, Left me in pain.

I waited and waited, In darkness in fright,

For the master's grace and a guiding light,

When he is around, I jump up in craze,

When he leaves, I am in complete daze,

How long do I have to wait?

For the divine to set me straight.
